FolkArts England Board
FolkArts England has a board of Trustees. They are:
Richard Carver - Business advisor, retired company chief executive
David Oliver - Former headteacher, musician, educationalist
Bev Langton - Full-time education Advisor / ex-teacher
Katie Howson - Folk development professional / musician
John Turner - Co-director, music retailer
Colin Irwin - Professional jornalist, author
John Leonard - Senior producer / broadcaster
The board meets 2/3 times a year and also communicate through emails and sub-groups in support of FolkArts England's work. They helped developed FolkArts England's vision:
- To see folk, roots and traditional music, dance and song recognised, appreciated and celebrated throughout England as a matter of course.
- To have folk, roots and traditional music, dance and song practised and developed throughout the English education system from cradle to grave.
They are working on a longer-term set of objectives and vision.
